The installers were backed up with multiple issues so the sales person Conner, brought window units over on loan so I didn't have to leave my house until the installers could arrive a week later. They turned up today-a Saturday and installed the new unit and grappled with my 1960s thermostat wiring for what seemed like forever. Gabe and Arlee stuck it out until the new unit was working, putting up with the still humid weather and my dog who barked at them every time the entered the house. They were great. My first thought was "this guy looks too young, why couldn't they send someone more experienced?" Gladly, I couldn't have been more wrong. In probably 15-20 minutes, this young man troubleshooted the flashing lights that I couldn't make sense of, investigated the unit and informed me of the problem. Rust had eaten away at the tubes of my heat exchanger making it unsafe to use. He was back the next day to repair the unit. It has ran right ever since.
